ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Beulah Williams Library at Northern State University will host a special art presentation at 7 p.m. Monday, April 15, in the library’s Round Room.

The event will feature NSU Professor of Art Peter Kilian, who will present a slideshow and discussion offering insights into his artistic process and the inspiration behind his paintings. The event is free and open to the public.

Kilian teaches painting, drawing and printmaking at Northern. He holds a Master of Fine Arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Bachelor of Arts from Augustana College. With more than 25 years of experience as a practicing artist, Kilian has exhibited work in regional and national venues, including the Knight-Ridder Collection, the South Dakota State Art Collection and the Contemporary Arts Forum in Santa Barbara. His work is also part of numerous private collections across the country.

The event offers an opportunity to connect with a talented local artist and gain insight into the ideas, materials and techniques that shape his work.
